Lebuhraya Borneo Utara was appointed as Project Delivery Partner to Government for Pan Borneo Highway Sarawak, Phase 1 from Telok Melano to Miri.

Contract Value: MYR16.488 billion – making it Sarawak’s single largest infrastructure contract ever awarded.

Total length: 753 km from Telok Melano to Miri; 115 pairs bridges; 24 interchanges.

5½ years construction timeline from 2016 – 2021.

10,000 personnel on the job; 75% Sarawakians; majority 25-35 years age bracket.

20% construction in greenfield.

Telok Melano to Sematan stretch (32.77km) completed ahead of schedule; opened end-Jan 2019.

As at Feb 2020, approximately 400 km of the first carriageway has been completed.
